Simple Potato Recipe

This simple potato recipe is something anyone can do. Even if you’re new to cooking, and think you aren’t a great cook. You’ll be the belle of the ball after these simple roasted potatoes come out of the oven. These are great with a roast, chicken, a steak…you name it.

What you’ll need:
Baking Potatoes (I measure servings as 1 potato per person, ex:3 people = 3 potatoes)
Salt and Pepper
Olive Oil

Super Simple: Wash/cut potatoes, bathe in oil/seasoning mix, place on pan, cook 45 minutes at 350

Expanded directions:
Wash and dry your potatoes. You can choose to leave the skin on or off for this recipe. It’s just a matter of preference. There’s a lot of fiber in the skin of a potato, but some people don’t care for the taste of it.

Cut the potatoes into chunks. I cut them lengthwise, then flip them so the flat side is down. I then slice them down lengthwise once, and then across twice so it gives me. It isn’t pertinent to cut them one way or another, just so that you have chunks of potato, and not thin slices.

Put your potatoes into a bowl. Add some (about 1/4 cup) of olive oil, salt and pepper. You’re going to “bathe” them in the mixture, so the potatoes are covered. *Another option is the spray them with olive oil cooking spray like PAM. Also, feel free to add in something like garlic or onion salt if your family is partial to them. We use a lot of garlic in our house, so that’s often used in place of salt.

Place the potatoes on the pan in a single layer, and cook for 45 minutes at 350 degree F

This simple potato recipe is one that is easy to master, and a great compliment to any sit down dinner.
